I'm painting a wall which was previously tiled, when removing the tiles some of the paint below the tiles (it must have been painted before they tiled )has come away leaving a very slight dip in the original paint, I've sanded but you can still see it through the new coat of paint, will it get better if I recoat a couple of times thanks very much.

Need a wall smoother or filling and sand to make smooth.
Maybe you took photo when emulsion was wet so it needs to dry out then assess

Can you fill something like that? It must be less than a millimetre, it's literally as thick as a coat of paint. Thanks

Toupret ready mixed filler.
You can also buy a fine finish filler for really shallow fills.
Smooth over best you can then 120 grade sandpaper on flat wood to get smooth

As above, yes you can fill it. Consider using a fine-surface filler. You need a suitable tool to spread it. Remove any other loose old paint first.

Did you stir the paint? It seems amazingly transparent even for a cheap paint. I've found some of the cheap Screwfix paints (e.g. Fortress) surprisingly good from the opacity point of view, certainly not like the cheap emulsions from e.g. Homebase 20 years ago that would need at least one more coat than well-known brands.
