hi all

I would like to paint a conservatory tiled floor for a property just bought

It’s been painted by previous owners already but not keen on colour

Bluey grey is what she’s painted it and you can see original tile colour where it’s peeled

Please can somebody advise the best

1. Paint to buy
2. Method to paint (any primer sanding etc roller or brush etc)

As I’ve never done before

Says “satin” tile paint but then Says:

Product Information
A washable, nimbus grey floor & tile paint in a satin finish. Covers 11m² per litre and dries in 12 hours.

  • Protects against spillages & repeated cleaning
  • Resistant to mild chemicals, water, oil & grease
  • Suitable for concrete, steel & wood
  • Recommended for multi surface
Features and Benefits
  • Provides a protective satin finish
  • Tough and durable
  • Based on polyurethane alkyd resins to withstand spillage and repeated cleaning
  • Resistant to mild chemicals, water, oil and grease
  • Ideal for use on concrete, steel and wooden floors in light to medium traffic areas

Scrape off all loose and flaky paint.

Sand all of the surface - boring, but will help to prevent the new paint peeling.

Some floor paints offer a non-slip finish, which is gritty - you may not want that, so be aware.

Oil-based is best for floors IMO.
