One coat render

Hi,
I’m going to attempt to
Render a bit of my house wall where the porch is … it’s only a couple of m2 so thought instead of using sand/ cement I’d use one coat … maybe like tarmac etc any
How do you still need to use mesh when using one coat?

It’s going ontop of tile backer

Tarmac tends to be the DIY store stuff I think? I’d use something like Weber ocr, or other brand. Issue you’ll have is getting hold of a small amount of it as they tend to supply by the pallet. As for meshing, each brand has specific instructions so just check out their data sheets
