For me Dads Army just pips OFAH. Also never really liked Alan Partridge but looking at it in retrospect he’s a genius, definitely a pre cursor to the Office in the same way there would be no fools and horses without steptoe and son

Fond memories of Black adder the first series
Already posted, but another vote for Porridge, and for Rising Damp.
Of the "newer" stuff, Early Doors was superb, as was Nighty Night.

I loved the first series. But it wasn't very popular. And it was extremely expensive to make.
They brought Ben Elton in as co-writer for S2 to make it a bit zingier. For a long time that was my fave.
I always thought S3 was overwritten and bit too pleased with itself.
S4 eventually became my favourite, although it took many years to dislodge S2.
