Open shower door

I've got a shower tray to fit, a 1000 X 800 offset quadrant. It is only in a small ensuite (1800x1550) and we were thinking of just having glass on the 2 sides and having the quadrant part open. Shower tray will be raised off the floor on a plinth and a rainfall shower head.

Do you think much water will 'escape' out of the open part?

Yes

When I was a kid we had a square shower but the door was on the corner, half of each side slid to meet in the corner . If the door didn't close , water bounced everywhere
