Can't get my boiler to come on for either heating or hot water!

There is power to it, I've go through the reset procedure, there's no air in the system as far as I can tell, I've bled the rads and the pump. The room thermostat is also doing its job. The overheat protection hasn't tripped either. Condensate pipe is also not frozen or blocked.

When resetting the boiler it comes on, I can hear a couple of clicks from some relays. I've also checked the gas cooker, that works ok, so I know the gas isn't a problem. It's as if the boiler is trying to light but can't or won't?

Just while I wait for the Halifax to send round an expert, anything else I could try?

No idea. Have domestic emergency insurance with the Halifax, boiler won't start, called them at 18:30, they said wait for a call back from a local company. They're supposed to call within 4 hrs of my call.

Do you know of anything else I can do? The wife and our 18 month old lad are currently huddling round a fan heater...

No. The Halifax man will sort it.

Just in case anyone wanted to know.... The Halifax sent round a local heating engineer, turns out the fan is dead. Couple of days to wait now, then should be back up and running.
