my combi boiler is an optimax 25 ov dont quote me on that im almost 100% sure . . . . . its igniting for hot water but nothing happens at all when i try for heating. no i do not have a timer on and no my thermostat is never used so its not a problem with that. my water pressure is 100 % fine. i may be a girl but im not stupid so if your comment is going to be about any of these please dont bother. please help i am sooooo not paying a plumber thats gonna rip me off like the last 1 tried

Oh Dear, a girl with attitude.

I'm so glad I'm going on holiday.

never once meant to sound like im throwing at attitude about but come on uve seen questions women r asked. . . . its automatically assumed because were women we know nothing . i read alot of comments before i posted for help

If you worried about being a woman why mention it in the first place.

And how do you suppose we make a £100k a year if we don't rip custards off, certainly not by giving free, advice on a forum.

The most likely problem is the timer or room stat, which you have already discounted, so could be a motorized valve, but we don't know if you have one or two of them, in fact we don't know anything yet.

If you were a man, you would tell us the make and model of the boiler, the make and model of the programmer, the make and model of the room stat, the type and how many motorized valves, how old the boiler is, and anything else that maybe relevant, but you're a woman and told us nothing.

if i was at home i wouldve told you the make and model number.

realistically your just on here being a complete prat to more than just me if your not going to give me any useful information what is the point in even replying ???

How can anyone give you useful information or not, when we/they don't know what you have.

Information dear Girl or we got no chance.

Optima is not a combi for a start.

What makes you think it isn't the timer you don't have :? Or the thermostat you don't use?

It is either one of those or a control valve.

And I agree with John... you are giving nothing but attitude. We don't give a monkeys if you have a dangly bit between your legs or not. We do need the correct information to be able to help you which is what we are here to do.

Unless you know how to diagnose properly I would refrain from eliminating things - especially the most likely candidates :?:

Reminds me a bit like my missus.... she crashes our car into a parked car and blames the other car.... then ME! Blo0dy hell! I was at work 40 miles away!!!!

Yes, sorry... in a bubble bath (seriously) after coming over all "new-manish" due to driving a Peugeot 107 that we got as a courtesy car (thank my love!). My chubby plumber's man-fingers hit the buttons on the tablet due to the steam.

God I can't wait to get back our 1.5 tonne, tuned, suspension adjusted, turbo'd and all gadgeted up Honda beauty back. I trucking hate french cars  Almost as bad as German shoite   [/quote]
