Hi, I'm working on the design of my single storey rear extension in a mid terrace house.
A question that I guess I know the answer but don't want to believe this is the only option I have is regarding the soil stack pipe that runs at the back of the house.
The extension is going to be full width and therefore if nothing is changed the soil stack will have to be boxed in (this is what I think is my only option).
The issue is that if boxed in the pipe it would be in the middle of the new planned kitchen which is a no no for me.
I have checked the regulations part H to see if it would be ok to run the new pipework for the upstairs bathroom over the roof of the extension and then down to the ground and can't seem to find anything against it, however I have seen in another forum the exact same design done by someone which was then refused by building control.
Have you guys got any ideas on how to overcome this issue? Last thing I want to do is to have this pipe boxed in...
Thanks!
