outdoor led strip lighting

can anyone please advise on ip65 led strip lighting. It is for a patio. Im unsure of best brands, the lengths of strips available, can they be joined, can they be cut to size. I am undecided on a simple 12m run or a full 90m.

I have a Lidi strip, which is in a polythene wipe clean design, which as long as the driver is inside would work outdoors, but the TP-Link set of lights, all contacts are exposed, and these would quickly fail.

I use Christmas lights outside on my balcony and just accept they will not last, and renew every year.

Could thread the lights down a clear polythene pipe to protect them sometimes sold that way, seems called a lighting rope.

So "outdoor" means exposed to rain, not immersed? Are they sheltered at all, or completely exposed?

Another option (depending on the effect wanted) is to use translucent white flexible conduit like this
