Hi

I have installed led strip lights under my kitchen cabinets. They are powered by mains and have to turn switch on and off when i want it on/off.

I was wondering can i replace that to a sensor or something so when it detects movements in kitchen they turn on? i saw this somewhere and wondered what that invovled and whether its possible for the led strip light i installed

Some makes just plug together and you can get various plug in bits including a pir.
though I dont think your tape will connect to them.
One option which would work is putting a standard pir, in line with the mains supply to the transformer suppling the tape
