I was wondering what the best course of action was with a problem I have. Basically I am fitting outside lights in an apartment roof terrace.

The surface is a plasterboard render with polystyrene insulation directly behind, this obviously means feeding cables through isn't possible as you can't just drop the cables down. And the owners don't want a channel cutting in...

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks, eventually they came round to the idea of channeling the cables in, once its re-rendered you won't even see them anyway!
