Hi

I have an outdoor light in drive that is the one below with PIR and Photocell built in. .

http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/9385331/searchTerm/PIR+LIGHTS.htm

I now want a light that comes on automatically at dusk and off in day time. I appreciate variations in accuracy of Photocell and am ok with it.

Question is can I somehow bypass the PIR on my existing light( by maybe a tape or something similar?) and then will Photocell turn light on at dusk?

Or do I need to replace entire fitting with one which has built in Photocell but no PIR (these don't seem to be widely available and a bit more expensive) or put a normal light with separate Photocell which will require additional wiring...

Thanks very much for your help

You could try turning the sensitivity all the way up, but you'll probably need to change the whole light.
