I made some patio furniture out of supele some years ago and finished it with yacht varnish, big mistake, anyway the varnish is peeling and has done for some time as you can see from attachments the wood is suffering damage in parts.
I have been told its caused by water getting under the varnish.
I would like to re-firbish the furniture, I asked a company about sandblasting the wood which is quite secure but that diodn't get anywhere so what are my alternatives? pleaser don't say sanding as i'm already 80 years old and I think time would run out on me!
Thanks
