Hello
I was just wanting some advice. I need to move my boiler, I am going to mount it on a wall that will in the garage when I get around to building the garage. So I will build a box around the boiler to protect it from the weather/cold etc, and so will be outside to speak of.
The box will have 75mm foam insulation as I have that left over from a previous job. I was going to skin the outside of the box with StokBord, which is plastic sheet, so it won't rot, and I don't have to treat it and is also free. However I wanted to use stokbord for the inside skin as well, but reading about it, it asks for flame proof materials. So if stokbord not allowed, then I was thinking sheet metal or plasterboard maybe?
But I was thinking boilers are can be mounted in airing cupboards, which are usually wood and hardboard/sheet wood construction.
So I am just wondering would you say stokbord will be ok to line the inside of the boiler box, or is metal or plasterboard a better alternative to keep the regulations happy?
