Hi folks, newbie here so please be gentle! I have just moved into a new house and unfortunately the floor level near the back door is above the damp proof course. Obviously I need to get this sorted but wanted some advice. Is the simplest solution to simply lower the outside floor level so it is lower than the DPC? If so, is this an expensive job? The affected area is only about 2m in length.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

is the wall solid or cavity,if cavity you need to make sure its clear of rubble/rubbish so it cannot bridge into the inner skin,if its solid it may of been tanked on the inside so bear this in mind?
