Hi,

I want to replace our outside light. It's mains powered and the switch is in the house. It has motion detection so it comes on when it detects any movement in the garden which means it's useless as it comes on a lot during the night plus it's so shabby.

Ideally I'd like one with multi lights and a way to programme a zone area i.e. the side bit of the garden between the kitchen door and shed and nowhere else in the garden. That way only the light pointing to the shed will come on when triggered in the dark so we can walk to the shed in winter without tripping up or if motion is triggered by burglars trying to get in the shed. However, we'd like to be able to put the other light/lights on at request that would point to the back garden.

Does such a thing exist? Am I asking too much?

TIA
Matt

Good and expensive, but like everything else in this life, you only get what you are willing to pay for.

Thanks guys. The security bit isn't too much of an issue to be fair, nothing to steal round here. The light on when that area is triggered is fine.
