Hi

I have outside lights which I have a junction box connecting.

I want to install 5 more Bulkhead lights on a fence up the drive with a sensor wired before the 5 lights so all will come on once movement is on the drive.

What cable would you advise to use? About 50 to 60 meters in length.

thanks

Not sure if there are any regs prohibiting fixing lighting & cables to wooden fences, but personally I would not think it a good idea with risks of fencing blowing down.

Black as that is better resisting UV lights. But as to damage resistance that depends on the route, SWA does not like bending, and both braid and SW can rust, some braid does have a copper core under it, but likely only need a tough cable like used for power to caravans etc.

I put a SWA under brick sets, you can get cables with centenary wires built in but in the main looking at common sence, my mothers fences rattled in the wind and would not be suitable, but mine were fixed solid.
