Hi Guys,

I recently had an extension on the house, all the electrics were signed off. However, i put a provision for powering outside decking lights. The power is ready to go, could someone advise if i need to use Blue flex when running to a IP67 Junction box where i shall be putting the transformer for the decking lights.

Many Thanks in advance!

assuming the wiring in question will not be burried (it its to be burried then use SWA) arctic flex is an appropriate cable type but its a bit ugly, HI-TUFF should also be fine and doesn't have the horrible bright. Avoid ordinary T&E or flex, they aren't really suitable for long term outdoor use (especially if exposed to direct sunlight).

whatever you use make sure you use appropriate glands (compression if using some type of flex, CW if using SWA) to keep water out of the boxes.
