Morning all

I'm trying to tackle new skirting boards and have hit a couple of snags.

My new skirts are 175mm tall, (7" in old money), I would like to cut and external mitre for a corner that's less than 90°

All the examples on you tube show skirting stood upright on the saw, so setting acute angle is not a problem, but can't fit that in the saw, as it's too tall.

When the skirt is on it's back with bottom at the fence I can't set more than a 45° bevel.

Anyone any tips?

Ad a packer or two to the outer edge of the bed of the saw to jack the skirting-up and make the angle more acute. That and/or use a sharp block plane to adjust the mitre
