can anyone reccomend external PIR lights that will last some reasonable length of time? ideally >36 months
outside pir lights that last longer than 10 months

In the main it is the mounting which is important, so ingress of water will not flood the electronics. This
is asking for problems, as any water will run into the PIR even if it gets in near the lamp, these
have been the standard PIR used for years, with a vent at bottom, so will not allow water to build up. Even a small 1/16 inch hole in bottom can stop water building up.
