Outside steps

we have outside steps - ( paving slabs onto a brick frame) and below is a stick shed/BASEMENT. using the steps as a roof, then extending under house..

What is best way to seal the steps to stop water poring into "shed/basement"

any PRODUCT I can paint on to seal and how do i seal the joints.
