Hi all,

I had to pull our washing machine out the other day for a different job and while it was out the way I decided to fit an outside tap using it's water feed.

That's what I started with.

Drilled through the chosen point and fitted a wall plate,

Managed to cobble the pipework together with bits I already had in my plumbing box.

And the finished article, for anyone else doing this I'd suggest remembering to connect the outside tap before turning the water back on.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't see a check valve, isolation valve or drain off internally as per the water regulations. There's one on the tap, but should be inside if practicable - which it is

Check valve is built into the tap and it's wras approved.

Isolation valve is the other side of the shower which is in the room next to where I've taken the water from.

If I need to drain it down I can remove the washing machine hose and drain from there as its the lowest point.

i think those check valves in the taps are more like improving existing when fitting new tap to old external feed. Think the regs mandate an inline DCV. be fine though, you'll only give the family the runs if a dead rat crawls up it, not the whole town so it's not too bad ;)
I jest, neat install
