My son wishes to install a separate electric oven and hob.
Oven rated at 4.3KW
Hob load 6.8Kw (max)
Total load 11.1 KW
This gives a current rating of 46.25Amps
The cooker residual earth leakage cut out is rated at 32Amps.
From a wiring and fuse installation point of view is the total load of 11.1Kw derated, as all devices would not be expected to be on at once. If so how is it derated?
Is it sounding as if a separate 45A cooker supply is required to be installed?
