Oven & Hob

I am thinking about purchasing a new double oven and hob. A 6200w oven and a 6600w induction hob. The existing cable to the isolating switch is 6mm2, approx 5m under the floor and 1m in metal conduit in the wall.
The RCB is 32ma.
The plan is to install both appliances using the existing cable, through a junction box at the output side of the isolating switch to each of the appliances.
Is it safe? My instinct, and sums, say no.
If not what do I need to do?

I may use a gas hob, therefore I have calculated that the the original configuration is OK for the oven and an isolating/socket switch. Please advise?

53-56A... ? a definite no no for 6mm cable and, depending on installation method, may be pushing it for 10mm even.. ( not to mention that you'd need to fit a 60A breaker.. )

2 seperate runs of 6mm is the easiest option.. ( from the board obviously, providing you have the spare ways to fit the extra breaker.. )

I'd go for gas for the hob.. it's supposed to be better anyway.. more responsive and no "hot spot" to be wary of for 15 mins when you switch the hob off... ( very unfortunate incident with a tray at moms house.. )

After applying diversity it's around 16amps per appliance so a 32amp breaker should be fine. The cable size is just about OK even after down rating it from 47 to 32 for the 1mtr in conduit.

Cooking appliance diversity = the first 10amps + 30% of the remainder plus 5amps if the cooker switch has a socket.

Thanks for the replies. I shall go for the gas hob.
Please confirm that the 6mm2 cable is good for the oven alone. Is the 32ma ok, or do I need ro down rate it - if so, what to?

Gas hob we like gas hobs.

You need to remember what a fuse is for - its there to protect the cable.
A 32A is just fine to protect a 6mm cable in normal useage so leave it like it is.
