I have a problem with my oven tripping the RCD switch on my fuse box. It happens randomly when using the oven i.e. when it is switched on, whilst cooking etc....
Is this a major issue or something as simple as checking the socket wiring.
Your help will be appreciated.

Regards

your elements are begining to break down by the sounds of it and may need to be replaced...

I've only recently changed the element, but it has happened more frequently since then. I was concerned that there may be a wiring issue, but sounds like it could be a dodgy element.
Is it worth calling someone out??
Thanks

Elements can absorb moisture when not used for long periods. New ones should not, but it could have been damaged in storage, or kept in a damp warehouse for the last 6 months.

To identify the faulty element is a simple task provided you have an insulation tester.
