Overboard ceiling or use this? Anyone used these before?

My plasterer says he can skim it, but the finish
around the spotlights might not be great - possibly
uneven or prone to crackcing.
He suggested it might be better to overboard the
ceiling with plasterboard first and then skim,
especially for a smooth finish around the downlights
I've also found a product called BeadMaster Circle
Downlight Hole Bead (49-62mm) that looks like it
could solve the issue. Has anyone used these?

Not for downlights but for wall boxes yes. There is video if that helps you and I'll find it.

Iv seen the one for the wall boxes, tbh they both looked good!
Saw the video for the spotlights too, just wondered if anyone has used them and what they thought of them.

How was the wall boxes? Are you happy with them?

Just saves me allot of time of having to overboard the existing kitchen ceiling

The wall boxes I saw were a perfect solution, but I suppose it all depends on who fitted the Beadmasters and how good the spread was with his trowel.
