check the ball valve in the tank in the loft. maybe sticking or faulty.
the water in your loft tank is too high because the ball valve is faulty, so when you run water you lower the level and stop it overflowing, it will overflow all night as you won't be running any water, so best to get it fixed, it won't get better only worse, and with winter coming it might freeze and cause a slip for someone.
