I ordered some 6 x 2 C16 timber from Covers (for joists as stated in my plans)
At the time, the man I spoke to did state that all their timber was regularised.

Upon trying to fit a tripled up joist into a hanger (150mm wide) I'm left with a fairly large gap. approx 15mm

How do I solve this??
Pack out gap? (ply?)
Or are there hangers for regularised timber??

Thanks.... stumped from Portsmouth.

Hi, you will have to pack out either side with 6mm plywood. Nail the ply to the joists with at least 5 nails (in the same pattern as a dice). The little gap left will be okay as the hanger will allow for 1.5mm deflection either side. Bobs yer uncle. Good luck

Oh _ from the pic it looks like a Simpsons JHA450/150 hanger. There is no alternative size - you have to pack out.
