Paint extender

Where can i get paint extender? Basically to dilute the paint.

I have a base coat to apply on the ceilings and walls and the walls are pretty much already covered with white. I'm going over it again as I've done some patching of the wall, filling etc and want to go over it all once more before actual colour.

The matt white is quite thick and would prefer it go on easy than thick.

If its water based emulsion you are using then thin it down with clean water! This is fine as a mist coat for bare plaster and filler but if the walls and ceiling are already covered with emulsion i wouldn't bother to thin it down its that thick for a reason!
