I am painting wall white with a trade emulsion (Dulux trade from B&Q) I have used the cheaper one to cover grey walls before I use the better paint.
The walls are flashing terribly. Given them 2 coats but the second coat seems worse than the first cost.
I am using a brush as my hubby does not like the 'orange peel' effect the roller leaves.
So my question are how do I fix this? Obviously I am doing something really wrong. Will i have to seal the wall with zinsser?
Any help would be greatly accepted.
Thank you

Just not a good idea to use contract emulsion.
It's only ment for new damp walls. No vinyl in it ( PVA)
If you are applying with a brush it must look terrible
I'd want to dustless sand that smooth.
Prime walls with something like gardz.
Get a quality emulsion with a 15inch or bigger roller and get a good couple of coats on.
I'd also finish each band rolling in one direction then load roller and repeat.
Finishing each strip rolling in same direction means the nap is consistent. I roll top to bottom then lift roller off wall.
Quality emulsion with settle to a smooth finish.

@Wayners - yes you are right - it looks awful!! Strange thing its only happened on one wall. Thank fully its not a large wall so will take your advice.
Many thanks again.
