paint over purple paint

I need to cover a purple painted wall, do I just put multiple white paint over it ? or use something like Zinsser BIN to cover first.

BIN will work but too big an area really the fumes will be awful.
Use Zinsser Bullseye 123, ideally two coats, problem solved!
