Paint over PVA

Depends what the PVA is on and what your painting over it with..if it hasnt bonded well to the surface and your using an oil based the surface thension that forms in the paint as it dries could lift the PVA.

different pva have different instructions. Basically some pva's can get painted over....some cant. You will need to check on the packaging. But iv got a feeling that unibond pva will be good.

If miosture gets to the PVA then this softens the PVA which can result in the top coat emulsion to blister in small bubbles.

This is so, especialy in Kitchens and Bathrooms.
