Hello, I have been getting small bits in the emulsion, even though things are clean and I give it a good stir.

I have been straining it through a peice of fine mesh and it is now 99% bit free, its a little messy though. but the results are good and nothing on the roller...no bits..

I was wondering what people use and can I buy a proper strainer from say the Dulux dec shop, or do people use something else.

Advise please.

old pair of tights but dont use the ones youve robbed the bank with

also watch out for the paint on side of bucket/pot drying out, then when you reload brush and wipe it over the dried paint on side of bucket, bits of dried paint get mixed with fresh paint on brush/roller. I wipe the side of container I'm working from with the brush constantly to prevent side of container drying. obviously keep container out of direct sunlight and when stopping for a short time I drape an old towel over the cantainer to act as a lid.
good luck.

I used my wifes stockings once...fishnets...absolutely useless!

well went into tesco....the value rang sive....for flower....89pence........plastic.

or a stainless one for £3...... works a treat.... dip it in a bucket of water between uses....give it a shake...clean.
