l have two internal walls, in the kitchen and hallway that need attention. They have been painted in the past, but certain areas are flaking and just crumbling, the walls seem very dry. What can l do to treat these small areas before l paint over them again.

ray.....when you say 'crumbling' do you mean the paint or the wall?

hi zampa, it,s the wall that,s crumbling, but it looks like it,s blown out because the paintwork is flaking.

Sounds like the top layer of skim has blown....you may need something like easi fil to repair it first

Scrape all the loose stuff off first then give the wall a good stiff brushing followed by a thinned coat of plaster primer sealer before you fill it
