I am about to paint an exterior brick wall on my house, part of the wall has previously been painted and i just want to make it look uniform as i am selling.

I was wondering if i need to use anything like stablising solution prior to applying masonary paint? The wall is pretty clean and free of any algea

Also can anyone recommend the best type of paint as i only want to give it one coat

thanks
andy

Dont use stabiliser..its only for powdery/flaky surfaces.

Any masonry paint should be fine but you wont get away with on coat..the first coat should be thinned down a little to absorb into the bricks
