Painting a 70's Gas fire

Glad i have stumbled across this place. There seems to be alot of information / advice here Can't find anything for the reason for my search but hopefully someone will know the answer.

I have a 70's style gas fire / back boiler and I want to give it a coat of paint to tidy it up. What kind of paint should i be looking at using for this?

Have a look in b an q...they do a massive range of specialist spray paints.

Give it a light rub over with fine wet an dry first to provide a key....its probably a celulose paint.
