Hi

I have just hung lining paper in the nursery to-be room. Its the first time I have done it and I think I have done a really good job... :D

Anyway, my next task is to pain the ceiling and walls. I have Almond white for the walls and gloss white for the ceiling and skirting boards.

How do I do the radiator? It already has white paint on it which is coming off.

Also do I use gloss for the window sill?

Another question, how do I clean up the aluminium window frames?

Thanks in advance.

Don't put gloss on the ceiling. Use matt emulsion.

Use gloss on the sills and woodwork.

radiator.. do you mean you want to strip the paint off or re-paint it?
either way you need to strip the old paint off if it's coming off already..
then "key" the surface.. there are pads available for this.. they scuff the paint up so the new stuff will stick to it..

you can get special radiator paints ( needed for the temperature.. ) ..
they are usually spray on so just mask everything off and have at it..

:D

Rub down the rad & apply eggshell or gloss carefully with a brush..Ive done hundreds that way , it wont flake if prepped correctly despite the heat!
