This topic is widely covered online, but the recommendations are usually to use matt paint, and car paint aerosols are frequently mentioned.

Has anyone any experience of painting a dish with masonry paint - this is matt, developed for outside use, and using the same colour as used on a rendered and painted house would be more effective in reducing its prominence.

Anyone?

No but….

how about covering the dish with aluminium foil and then painting it?
Just as a trial?

Masonry paints tend to be thick; I don't know how well a watered down paint would grab onto the dish.
I would go for a spray paint that closely matches your masonry colour.
A thin, even coat would work far better! :)
