Painting a window recess

When painting a window recess, is it normally all painted with the same colour as the ceiling or do the walls get painted the same as other walls in the room?

All of the window return / recess would normally be painted in the wall colour.
I'm assuming you mean the two sides and top around the window?

Okay - many thanks. Yes we've already done the top in white (as per the ceiling) so will probably now repaint that.

Do what you fancy I`m looking out of a small bay window that we left with combed artex when we had the main ceiling skimmed and I`m painting the artex white and the walls colour into the bay
