hi there am contemplating taking up carpet to reveal pine floorboards. would lvoe to paint them a white/off white colour. what sort of paint should i use?

I find oil based eggshell or Satin pretty good. Apply with a roller for best results.

But dont forget to apply knotting over the bare knots in the wood..then prime them before you paint them

Water based satin/eggshell might be a better option for you too because of the smell and the drying time

But bear it in mind...none of these paints are designed to be walked on...so its socks or bare feet.
