Hi,

I want to pain the floorboards in my 2 bedrooms, can anyone suggest a type or brand of paint that would be tough enough for a very active toddlers room, how many coats and do I have to use varnish as well. I'm trying to paint it an off white colour. Current floorboard slightly stained but not Varnished. Thanks

Ask you local trade merchants to do you a mix of your chosen colour using a tin of acrylic primer undercoat..

thin the first coat down with about 25% water..and if it needs it, apply a second coat..then glaze with two caots of water based floor varnish like bourne seal or dulux diamond glaze

thankyou zampa i will start work on those floors soon. Thanks for your good advice. BigBearPhil
