Painting Floorboards

Hi

Does anyone have any suggestions for how these floorboards can be painted or varnished please? I don't have time to sand them down so I was thinking of putting down some Dulux floorshield and colouring them white.

Would I be better varnishing them?

if you can't be bothered sanding them, don't varnish

if you can't be bothered preparing, paint will look pretty shoddy.

put down some vinyl on 4mm ply.

You'll need to sand them anyway, before painting, or they'll look awful.
