We are contemplating a refurbishment of the kitchen and will be fitting new worktops and would also like to paint the existing kitchen cabinets (solid wood doors) Most of the major paint suppliers - Dulux, Crown etc. produce paint specifically for this purpose but the colour options are limited. My question is, are we restricted to using these specialist paint finishes or can we use other more mainstream products albeit with perhaps more preparation required?
