Painting melamine kitchen cupboard doors

Hello,

We are currently in the process of revamping our kitchen cupboard doors.
I've bought International melamine primer.
After priming can I then use a standard satin wood paint, or do I have to use the specialist cupboard paint?

If you have applied the correct primer Satinwood is self undercoating and should bond well, if your unsure try a test area first.

I found ESP an excellent cleaner and primer, allows you to use just about any paint.

Are there any benefits to using cupboard paint other than you just need one coat?
Cupboard paint vs 2/3 coats of Dulux Satin woodpaint.
