Hi all

We had a wall re-plastered way before Christmas and now it has eventually dried.
I started to put a mist coat on but I have now decided to use Zinsser Ball 123 to properly seal the wall.

My question is do I need to complete the first coat with waterered down emulsion or can I just carry on and finish the wall with the Zinsser?
Will it look different when the final coat of emulsion is applied?
I intend to go over the already misted part with Zinsser again.

Do I need to carry on with the watered down paint please?
Also how many coats of Zinsser should I apply?

Many thanks

You would be better to use Gardz tbh.
I know some people use bullseye 123 but I've never liked it over plaster.
Reason being plaster is so dry making it hard to cover. Gardz is easy.

What ever you do don't use cheap contract emulsion over a quality sealer. Don't use over gardz or the bulleye.

Thank you Wayners. Will check that Gardz out ;)
I was going to use the Dulux Trade silk matt or matt.
Do you have any thoughts on which one please?

Matt on flat.
Maybe a durable matt

Silk is shiny and can look terrible on flat surfaces. All a matter of preference I guess
