Lining paper has been used on the hall, stairwell and landing and subsequently painted over. Although the lining paper has been well fitted, there are still tiny gaps visble where each piece butts together. We dont want to re-paper the area but would like to re-paint. Is there any way of filling the tiny gaps between the lining paper to make it less obvious that we have just painted over paper. The colour would be a very light neutral shade.
So far we've though of: Texured paint; using fine crack filler; painting over the lines with a thick gloss paint.
Anyone any other ideas :?:

TIA :)

Car body filler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't even go there...... Your local decorating suppliers will have a product called, One Time Red Devil. Its a fine filler thats easy to sand down and will fill those imperfections perfectly. If any paper lifts with the water based emulsion then apply an oil u/coat to seal it and re-paint using the emulsion
