Hi all

I need to prepare and paint a terracotta shiny painted wall that is lining papered. I will be painting with a moisture resistant light yellow colour. I imagine I can't even lightly rub this down due to rubbing off the lining paper? Will I need to remove the paper and just re line the area?

Cheers

Give them a coat of acrylic primer undercoat or soft sheen first...i presume you mean the walls are painted with silk.

If they are gloss you might be better of with an oil based undercoat..thin it out a bit first though it will break the oil down and it will be ready to take the undercoat sooner..give it a few days to cure though before the topcaot
