Hey I am wanting to paint over some old wall paper. Am I ok to paint over to or will it need primer on it first? Thanks for any through.

Yes a very big difference, seeing as you are not sure I would seal with a thinned oil based undercoat before you apply any emulsion. Painting over wallpaper is ok providing that it has been hung correctly, if for example some of the seams have been overlapped painting it will drasticly highlight them thus producing a poor finish.
