Hello all,
we have a summer house, which we recently improved by insulating it and then putting pine cladding on the inside.

Id now like to paint the clasdding (which is untreated).

Just wondering what product I should use to undercoat it, as Im intenidng to use Dulux Light and Space on the top layer.... or do I not need an undercoat?

Many thanks,

A

you need a primer and then an undercoat then your top coat.

There are plenty of good quality undercoat and primer in one type paints now but you'd be much better off going to your local decorators centre rather than b and q for one of those as they'll give you exactly what you need.

Also if its not heated it would be better to wait for the weather to warm up. I imagine it is to some extent though if you;ve gone to the trouble of insulating it
