I have a very expensive blue designer radiator which I would like to be painted white. Need advice - I have been told that I can use a garage and it could be spray painted by them. It is a double radiator with 36 tubes

Look for stove enamelers or powder coaters they should be able to assist you.

I never paint radiators by hand i find it better to remove the radiator and leave it with a local car body shop who will spray is any colour i want usually white, some are done four years and have never lost their colour or shine and the finish is superb.
One area of decorating which i dislike is brush marks on radiators.

Powder coating for a tubed rad  the electrostatically charged powder will get into nooks and crannies better than even the best bodyshop guy with a DeVilbiss ;)

nige you are probably right, the radiators that i got sprayed where standard ones

If you must paint it, I'd go with gasbanni's advice. Heat resistant paint is a must. I have seen radiators painted with normal Satin or undercoated and glossed and I'll never agree with that practice.
